Over the festive season, the Rotary Club of Ashtead took to the streets (and the rain!) for our Christmas collections, raising an amazing £2,661 thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community.
Our hardy club members braved the gloomy weather to make it all happen, and we’re thrilled to share that the funds will be supporting five local schools: The Greville Primary School, St Peter's Catholic Primary School, West Ashtead Primary School, Barnett Wood Infant School, and St Giles C of E Infant School.
These contributions will go a long way in helping each school create fantastic opportunities for their pupils. A huge thank you to everyone who donated—you’ve made a real difference!
The funds raised will be put to fantastic use by each of the schools.
· The Greville Primary School is excited to add even more play equipment for break times—last time the kids absolutely loved it, so why not get some more?
· St Peter's Catholic Primary School is looking to upgrade their microphones for shows and events, so every child gets their moment to shine on stage.
· West Ashtead Primary School will be putting the money towards sprucing up their Key Stage 1 playground—fun times ahead!
· Barnett Wood Infant School is planning to invest in new toys and equipment for their sensory pod and playground, making playtime even more engaging.
· St Giles C of E Infant School hopes to use the funds to make their school as warm and welcoming as possible, with new flooring high on the wish list.
A big thank you to everyone who donated—you’ve helped make these exciting projects possible!
