Building strong friendships while serving our community
Club Service is a vital component of Ashtead Rotary Club as it focuses on 'fun and friendship' as well as the internal functioning of the Club. Central to the Rotary ethos is that it offers the opportunity for individuals to develop long term friendships while ensuing that the organisation's affairs are run in a professional manner. Both strands aim to encourage and foster teamwork and common purpose, to help deliver initiatives which support our local community.
Building strong relationships among members is therefore seen to be essential and so we arrange lots of social events, outings, and activities that promote camaraderie and friendship.
Other key aspects of Club Service includes recruiting new members, retaining existing ones, and ensuring that all members feel welcomed and valued. Activities might include membership drives, orientation sessions for new members, and fellowship events.

Rotary also has individuals who are involved in other aspects of Club Service including Leadership Development - to ensure that club leaders are well-prepared and supported - and meeting Management, to ensure we have effective and engaging club meetings.
Club Administration covers logistical and operational aspects of the club, such as managing club finances, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with Rotary International guidelines, while public Relations helps promote the club’s activities and achievements to both members and the broader community - to build a positive image and attract new members.
By focusing on these areas, Club Service ensures that the Ashtead Rotary Club operates effectively, provides a positive experience for its members, and so is well-positioned to serve the community.
